The release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is only a few days away – and in the run-up to it, there are now increasing signs of how many multiplayer maps you can look forward to at launch.

If you believe new rumors on the net, the new shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will have 16 multiplayer maps at launch in a few days. At least that’s what new leaks say about various dataminers, including very reliable informants such as TheGhostOfHope.

Five of these 16 maps should be exclusively available in the “Ground War” game mode. In this context, it was also announced that the map previously known as “Grand Prix” was renamed “Crown Raceway” without further ado; there was some confusion regarding this after the card was mentioned earlier and then mysteriously disappeared. The background to this is now known.

The following multiplayer maps should be available when the game is released:

6v6 Multiplayer Maps

  • Breenbergh Hotel
  • Museum
  • The Souls Market
  • Comb
  • Crown Raceway
  • Al Bagra Fortress
  • Zarqwa Hydroelectric
  • Santa Seña Border Crossing
  • Farm 18
  • Embassy
  • The asylum

Ground War Maps

  • Said
  • Sariff Bay
  • holy sign
  • Zarqwa Hydroelectric
  • Al Bagra Fortress

Although such leaks often hit the mark, the developers may have changed something by the time the game is released on October 28, 2022. Until then, you should still enjoy the list with a hint of caution.
