Wait times to play in Overwatch 2 are increasing, and now it’s not the servers

Increasing, Overwatch, Play, servers, times, wait

Overwatch 2.

the launch of Monitor 2 it’s quite stormy since, despite the passing days and weeks, Blizzard’s title continues to make things too difficult to players who have taken the plunge since the first opus. And that the thing seemed simple because the business model adapted for the sequel is to offer it for free, something that when we talk about those of Irvine, many think that it is not a very positive detail.

One controversy after another

The fact is that once again Monitor 2 is in the eye of the hurricane due to issues affecting players: first it was the servers, which caused huge access queues that forced us to spend hours waiting for a guaranteed time slot and, later, the system of rewards and missions that we had to complete to have access to elements of a certain level. A claim that Blizzard always uses to economically squeeze all of its players. Here are the examples of Foyer but above all, Diablo Immortal.

The thing is, today’s problem has nothing to do with server access queues or the game’s draconian economic system that forces us to go through the cash register and leave us the month of salary in purchases… but in another detail which is to put the community of Monitor 2 on the warpath: the time of the creation of the games, the matchmaking which drags on because of something that Blizzard probably never considered.

As you know, those cooperative team games like Monitor 2 are based on a system of teams which, in order to function, they must have the presence of the different character classes: He must have tanked who resist the greatest number of damage, others (the DPS) who are responsible for it and, obviously, also the so-called Supportwho are responsible for reviving players who are fighting on the front lines of battle.

Well, the problem now is that No one wants to play the role of Support and of course when it’s time for the game to be done matchmaking creating pre-made groups…because players find getting into games takes forever until someone shows up ready to take on that role.

Predefined role queue

These problems have been, for many players, sung because already in the beta they have already warned that the default game mode, that is, the one in which Monitor 2 requires each five-member team to have a minimum number of classes present (including the Support), wasn’t going to work because no one wants to take over the supporting role. In other words, few are willing to stay and reclaim the lives of those later in the fray.

as they say, the community has already reported this issue but now Blizzard has to decide what to do, because the characters in charge of this role (Ana, Kiriko, etc.) do not pass among the players who, for the most part, come from the first Surveillance with a very specific role and tending to repeat the heroes they already know. and none is Support.

So now you know, if you want to speed up the queue to access the game in the preset role mode, get Support. Oh no?

Wait times after Overwatch 2 are increasing, and now these are not the servers that appeared first on HardZone.
