This year 2022 has been quite intense in terms of major video game releases, something that will continue during this same month of October until the precise moment when we set foot in 2023.
One of the first to arrive in January next year is the Dead Space remake, a trend that seems to have run wild with the successful return of Resident Evil, as it looks like even CD Projekt Red will be entering those waters. with The Witcher Remake or so he confirmed some time ago.
The Witcher Remake will come from the hand of Unreal Engine 5
This was confirmed by official site of the saga, stating that the studio will create the title from scratch using Unreal Engine 5. This project would be one of the three mentioned above, known under the code name “Canis Majoris”.
“We are thrilled to announce that The Witcher Remake is in the works! That’s right, the game that started it all is being rebuilt from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5.”
“The game is currently in the early stages of development at Polish studio Fool’s Theory, where veteran staff from the Witcher series are involved. As CD PROJEKT RED, we provide full creative oversight.
There’s still a lot of development to come and it won’t be surprising if it takes time to see anything solid from this remake of The Witcher, but we’ll be watching for any news in that regard.
