Why buy a smaller mechanical keyboard?
The keyboard is a necessary peripheral for using the PC, and the disadvantage is that full-size keyboards take up a lot of table space (they are usually about 42-44 centimeters, and these are the ones that don’t have extra macro keys). This, for users who don’t have a generously sized desktop, can be a problem, especially in terms of how much room you have left to move the mouse around.
So much so that many gamers opt for a mechanical keyboard with a smaller format, such as the TKL or even 60%, because this way there is much more space on the table to be able to move the mouse freely without crashing with the keyboard, something that is particularly interesting for users who use a very low mouse resolution and need to move it far on the table.
So, the main reason why you should consider buying a mechanical keyboard that is smaller than the standard size is precisely this, the space they occupy on the table. And what type of compact keyboard should you buy?
If you’re already convinced that you want a smaller mechanical keyboard because you need more table space, there are some things you need to know, because after all, with compact keyboards you’ll also find disadvantages that make them inadvisable to some people. .
