Although Netflix lets you create up to five profiles on all plans, the basic version only allows one stream at a time, which means there are no simultaneous streams. The most popular Netflix plan is the Standard. Benefits of the standard plan over the basic plan include two simultaneous streams, two devices to record downloads, and stream upgrade.
On Netflix Standard, you’ll be able to stream in high definition (HD), up to 1080p. That’s average for most devices on the market, so image quality will be reasonably good for whatever you’re streaming.
Double the number of simultaneous streams makes this account ideal for friends who watch Netflix around the same time as you, or multiple family members who like to tune in from different parts of the house. But again, this plan doesn’t give you the maximum number of screens you can have.
