The fraudulent email informs you that your Amazon account has been suspended and all your orders have been put on hold. The reason for this is unusual registration activities. All you have to do to unlock it is supposedly just follow the instructions in the message and check your account details via an attached link. To put additional pressure on you, the criminals claim that if you don’t complete the process within 24 hours, your account will be permanently banned.
Don’t fall for this scam. As the Consumer Center reports, the link in the email will take you to a fake Amazon page where important data is requested. If they fall into the hands of scammers, they can easily log into Amazon and shop with your connected account. We advise you to simply move the email to the spam folder or delete it.
Simple signs: This is how you recognize every phishing email
A first indication that you have received a phishing email: the email will ask you to confirm personal data or to enter it on a website.
