Ghostwire: Tokyo: Clear indication: Xbox release will probably follow in 2023

Ghoswire: While Tokyo has so far been exclusive to PC and PlayStation players, that may change in the coming year to the delight of Xbox fans. In any case, the development studio has a tangible indication of such an implementation.

Ghostwire: Tokyo is currently a PS5 console exclusive, but it’s a timed exclusive. Accordingly, a version for Microsoft’s Xbox Series X/S will most likely follow in the coming year – and this is exactly what there is now another tangible indication.

Publisher Bethesda now has a large artwork for the game at its headquarters in London – and this also lists the supported platforms for the title. In addition to the PC and the PlayStation 5, there is already the Xbox Series X/S as another console. This emerges from a published photo via Twitter.

Bethesda had a deal with Sony, which made some of the publisher’s games time-exclusive PlayStation titles. In the meantime, these deals are slowly but surely coming to an end, which is why some titles should now also open on the Xbox. While Ghostwire: Tokyo is likely to follow after the expiration of the time-exclusive phase from March 2023, Deathloop has recently become available for Xbox Series X/S, for example.

In addition, such a step is logical because Bethesda has meanwhile been bought by Microsoft. Future titles from this publisher should therefore probably be reserved for PC and Xbox, for example the approaching Starfield.

Ghostwire: Tokyo is an action-adventure developed by Tango Gameworks; it’s about paranormal abilities and fast-paced combat. You go on a hunt for ghosts around Tokyo and have to level up your skills as the game progresses by collecting Spirit Points.
