Ramattra is the newest tank hero get to surveillance 2 and the latest locked behind its battle pass system. Revealed during the Overwatch League finals last Friday, the shapeshifting warlord can switch between defensive and offensive modes, but will require players who don’t want to pay to play to level 55 to unlock it.
Ramattra was formerly a military leader during the omnic crisis (read: robot wars) who now heads Null Sector, a revolutionary group in Britain fighting for the liberation of omnics and the creation of an omnic-led nation-state. Players are already comparing the potential dynamic between him and Zenyatta, surveillance 2

On the gameplay side, Ramattra can play either as a defensive tank, attacking from afar and using a shield to protect teammates, or as an offensive tank, going berserk with his fists and Vortex ability. Players can switch back and forth depending on the situation, potentially making Ramattra one of them surveillance 2
He won’t officially join the roster until the start of Season 2 on December 6th, and in line with surveillance 2‘s new free-to-play model will not automatically unlock it for everyone. While it will be available early in the season for those who purchase the $10 Premium Battle Pass, those who stick with the free one will need to grind to level 55 before they can use it.
