Modern Warfare 2 is now officially the fastest selling Call of Duty ever. The latest installment in the shooter series took just ten days to make Activision Blizzard one billion US dollars to flush into the coffers. CoD MW2 even beats the previous record holder: Black Ops 2.

Despite the impressive numbers, the news is not really surprising, as the development was already under way in the launch week. Shortly after release, a financial report from Barron’s suggested that Modern Warfare 2 was well on the way the fastest selling CoD in series history
