There is no doubt that everything surrounding the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time it was chaotic to say the least. Announced in 2020, with an expected release date of 2021, when it was first seen there were many who criticized its poor visual condition and questionable production value.
The game has been postponed to May 2022 its development passed into the hands of Ubisoft Montreal, the studio responsible for the original title in 2003. We haven’t heard from the game since then, which has started to worry some people about whether it could have been cancelled.
It was Ubisoft who confirmed that they had to confirm otherwise. He did so through the game’s official Twitter account, where they say the following: “Many of you have been asking us about Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. We’ve created an article to help consolidate the answers in one place. Thank you for your continued love and enthusiasm for this title. It means a lot to us.”
In the Article he reads that the study has nothing to learn, at least for now. Information will be shared in “future updates”. It is also mentioned that there are no plans to develop another remake of the saga Prince of Persia. Although, curiously, there are rumors about a new episode in 2.5D by the developers of Legends of Rayman.
