Apple is working on a new way for users to use and streamline the experience of our home screens on our iPhones and iPads according to a new report. The foundations of this novelty reside under the name “Clarity” and are present in the new beta of iOS 16.2.

The new interface would be a new accessibility featureto change the layout of the home screens, increase the size of buttons, icons and texts as well as allowing users to customize the home screen in other aspects.

According to 9to5Mac, this feature is not yet included for iOS 16.2 beta users but it will make iPhones and iPads much more accessible to any type of user. By enabling the feature, the user will have much more say in how buttons and text appear on their iPhone.

For example, users will be able to activate a Bigger user interface, with fewer but bigger apps on-screen or have access to physical buttons when Accessibility Mode is enabled. It is also specified that this feature will be subject to user verification, so that no one can make changes to your device without your permission.

Like other similar accessibility features, the new mode will be easily activated by pressing the side button three times or the start button, to get the settings online. The same method will also be used to quickly disable the feature.

Although we have the first indications of this new accessibility feature in iOS 16.2 beta 2, It is not yet clear if it will be released with the final version of iOS 16.2. As we’ve discussed in other articles, this final version of iOS 16.2 should be available in mid-December, but the feature itself could be released as part of a future update in 2023. .
