Unsurprisingly, this year’s Game Awards nominations are all in Ares Ragnarok and elder ring Some of them have been accumulated.

IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE: Nominees were selected by a jury of over 100 media publications and influential institutions around the world – including us at iGamesNews.

Geoff Keighley graciously told us which games we can potentially expect to see win at The Game Awards, apparently wrapping up in the Game of the Year category. If you’re wondering who’s the big shot, obviously Ragnarok and Elden’s Ring, as well as A Plague Tale: Requiem, Horizon Forbidden West, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and The Vagabond.

Best Game Direction gives Elden Ring, God of War Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West and Stray another chance to win the grand prize, and also includes Half Mermaid’s Immortality. The best indie games category also has a lot of great games like Cult of the Lamb, Neon White, Sifu, Tunic, and another game for Stray.

There’s also a new category this year, Best Adaptation, which is dedicated to film and TV adaptations of various video games. This includes Arcane: League of Legends, Cyberpunk: Edgewalker, Cuphead, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Uncharted (I forgot the last one came out this year too).

If you want to know which game got the most nominations, that game belongs to God of War Ragnarok, even though it just came out, there are 10 in total as long as we include voice acting (we are, because it’s all important ). Unsurprisingly, Elden Ring follows with seven nominations, tying with Horizon Forbidden West.

You can head over to The Game Awards website now to vote in each category, and the event will be live on December 8th on the usual venues including Twitch and YouTube.
