Rainbow Six: Siege is more popular now than ever.
All weekend Rainbow Six: Siege Get a new concurrent player record on Steam. The game also has more than 180,463 players online, far above all previous records.
Siege is currently on sale, so it definitely helps, but usually breaks all concurrent records on the free weekend. In the four years since its release, its performance has been impressive, but this is not surprising.
From the number of players on the Steam chart, Siege has been steadily attracting new players since November last year, expanding the player base by 1% to 20%. Considering that a large part of the gaming community on the PC does not play through Steam but plays directly on Uplay, this is an impressive result.
I think if you consider Uplay, let alone PS4 and Xbox One, the situation will be better.
Siege has recently begun its fifth year of support after its release, and a sixth year has been planned. Although the pace of new operators and maps has slowed significantly, the game is still very popular.
Therefore, Ubisoft hopes that "Siege" will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
