Season 8 is coming to Sea of Thieves and Rare posted a 9 minute video on his youtube channel in which you can see some of the new features that the new update will bring, the new locations that can be explored, and the most notable cosmetic items.
The main change, and one that could become the star of the season, is the possibility of enjoying PvP in which players can fight at sea in the bloodiest naval battles. In this case, players will represent one of two factions, the Keepers of Fortune or the Servants of Flame. Choosing one or the other will give you exclusive access to cosmetic items embodying the style of each faction.

The choice is not eternal and can be changed by using an item inside the captain’s cabin on each ship. People who want to hunt down the pirates of the other faction can do so with the war map and there they will lie in wait until a worthy opponent appears.
