Pokemon scarlet and violetGame Freak’s new monster-collecting RPGs, since their release on March 18, have been objectively terrible technical performance that is only outshined by the Incredible number of disruptions. (At least one mistake is good: Es makes it easier for you to hunt Shiny Pokémon). Clearly, those two games weren’t ready for prime time, and now some gamers are demanding refunds from Nintendo.

scarlet and violet got off to a janky-ass start. Flaws include framerates that slow to a crawl, horrible graphic pop-ins, and characters and monsters that overlap each other. Even Poké Balls cause some peculiar problems, e.g. B. the disappearance of the landscape or the camera going crazy. The bugs are seemingly endless and affect the gameplay so much scarlet and violet have become the lowest-rated games in the series. Over on Reddit, buyers have requested refunds for their digital purchases since the official start of the games last Friday, November 18th. In addition, many claim to be successful.
“I received a refund from Violet’s e-shop last night after feeling the game was not in a condition that I consider acceptable for a AAA release,” Redditor Hotdog_Daddy Posted to r/Pokemon on November 20th. “The representative actually told me that given the situation regarding the condition Pokemon S/V She would bring up my case to make sure the refund was approved. It was approved an hour later.”
“Welcome to the reimbursement team”, came an answer. “Honestly, it sucks to even have to do that. But we actually might do a decent backlash. Maybe we’ll get a decent patch and updates, then I’ll buy the game used. Until then never [I] buy a new one Pokemon Game unless it’s actually AAA Tier.”

In another post, user Jaded_Goth Thousands of upvotes collected say, “Refunded. I will no longer be part of the problem. […] There will be a lot of people who will defend this franchise to the death. But could you honestly look at this game and tell me that this was your best effort? The FPS and graphics made me check if I accidentally played this on a toaster. They kinda got away with removing so many great features and quality of life things like showing status animations, making exp share decisions, disabling fight animations that I could continue.
They concluded: “Since I complained about the state of this game, I can no longer be a part of this problem. I got my money back and I feel a lot better.”

Pokemon scarlet and violet is the latest entry in the series, and while it’s buggy as hell, the games at least introduce some new monsters to collect. This contains a cute murderous ghost dog, an Apple Jacks-looking mascotand a Yassified peacock. Perhaps future patches will make the game around them easier to enjoy. One hopes, right?
