Again we have to give news related to a social network and Xbox. Recently and nothing that we tell you that Phil Spencer had opened an account in Mastodon, but it seems that this network by instances never ceases to convince to users watching Twitter drift.
And that’s where Hive comes in, a social network that mixes Twitter and Instagram. At the moment, Hive is only available in app format, there is no web version, and it’s a project by a small team that can barely cope, so bugs and chess is a natural thing on the web. Lack of speed, errors when loading images… these are details that I encountered, but they are forgivable if things go well.
Hive Social is cool, but lacks optimization
The thing is, Hive has hit, or rather passed, 1 million users, a milestone they certainly didn’t expect and one that seems to continue to grow. The development team made sure to work tirelessly to meet the demand, fix bugs and bring some features as soon as possible which fell by the wayside when they set up the Kickstarter.
The network works similar to Twitter, with a system of followers, retweets, likes and more. Luckily, you can edit your messages and there’s no such limit of obscene characters, plus conversations fit together much better, and you have tools to block or fight trolls.

The tech and gamer community was the first to go there. Indeed, several managers like Aaron Greenberg, Major Nelson or the Game Pass account are already there, and they seem quite active. Both a server and the web, we already have an account there, you can search us by @JINGX or @generacionxbox.
