Being able to see the information that interests us on the lock screen of our iPhone just by looking at it is most interesting. Now we have to talk about an application that allows us create our own live activities with the information we consider most appropriate. Information that we will always have available on the lock screen of our iPhone.
As more and more apps add the ability to use iOS 16 Live Activities to display real-time information, some of these apps offer that we customize the information we want to see ourselves. This is the case of Shelf, an application with which personalize our iPhone a little more.
The live activity we want on our iPhone
Shelf is an application that we can download for free in the App Store. It includes, of course, some in-app purchases to use the Pro version of the app for a month or a year to enjoy all the functions. The truth, however, is that the options offered by the free version are already very interesting. Live activity with photos, texts, applications, websites or even with some shortcutsThis may be the most interesting.
If we have an iPhone 14 Pro or Pro Max, we can enjoy live activities on the dynamic island. The application offers us both the reduced design that we will see when we use other applications and the extended design that we will access by holding down the information.
The options are truly endless and very much depend on how we plan to use these live activities. Regarding the design, the application offers us options such as changing the font, the background color and other variables so that the resulting widget matches the aesthetics that we have on our iPhone . In fact, these same live activities can be used like normal widgets both in their own section for them, on the left side of apps, and between them.
Whether it’s a shortcut to the most frequent actions, a reminder of something we need to do, an inspirational phrase or simply some of our favorite photos, Shelf gives us the tools to highlight within our iPhone, either with the screen on or stationary. An app that well worth a look and see how the possibilities it offers can go a little further than the experience of using our iPhone.
