In an era where games are scrambling to find new and innovative ways to monetize themselves, season passes reign supreme. So it’s no surprise that Callisto Protocol will be launching its own season pass.
First reported by the folks at VGC, information about the season pass was discovered after it was added to The Callisto Protocol’s Steam page.
The season pass will be available to anyone who purchases the digital deluxe edition of the game, which includes the Story DLC, Infection Pack, Riot Pack, and Outlaw skin collection.
Contagion Bundle is a brand new game mode for Callisto Protocol and not for the faint of heart. This mod reduces ammo and health drops, and permadeath becomes a reality. Therefore, there is no room for error in this mode, designed for the most hardened gamers. In addition to the new modes, protagonist Jacob will also have 13 brand new death animations.
At first, I was apprehensive about the new death animation, worried that my experience with Callisto Protocol wouldn’t actually be what I wanted it to be.That is, Glen Schofield took Twitter Fix that, because I’m not the only one worrying about it. “To be clear, we’re not going to hold back major games because of the season pass,” Schofield shared.
“We haven’t even started working on that. These are all new things we’re going to be working on in the new year. Fans are asking for more deaths, so we’re making that a priority next year.”
To be clear: we’re not holding anything back for the season pass’s main game. We haven’t even started working on that stuff yet. These are all new things we will be working on in the new year. Fans are asking for more deaths, so we’re making that a priority for next year.

As such, Callisto Protocol will ship as expected, with all new Season Pass content still in the works. That means no one will miss any cool details or finishers when the game launches, which I’m glad to hear.
In addition to the new skin collection and the Infection pack, the season pass will also introduce Riot packs. This will take you to never-before-seen areas of the Black Iron Prison and put you up against hordes of enemies. You’ll need to earn points to upgrade your gear and survive as long as possible in this new game mode. Additionally, the Riot Bundle will feature 12 new death animations and Engineer skin collections.
It seems that those who want to get more out of the Callisto Protocol are in for a treat. Two new game modes, dozens of new death animations, and more story DLC are sure to keep anyone busy, especially around Christmas time.
