GameStar presents the new tour of the metal legends

Gamestar, Legends, metal, presents, Tour

A metal legend. And Blind Guardian.

A metal legend. And Blind Guardian.

Briefly chatted from the private sewing box: When Maurice and I attended the concert of the metal band Blindguardian in the Munich Backstage on September 8th, it felt like we were recognized and spoken to more often than on a usual gamescom day.

By then it was clear to us that this goes together pretty well with GameStar and Blind Guardian.

This strange story started in August when the record company Nuclear Blast wrote to us on the occasion of the release of the new Blind Guardian album The God Machine, asking if we didn’t want to pick it up somehow.

Heiko Blade

GameStar Editor-in-Chief Heiko Klinge loves music in general and metal in particular. He discovered Blind Guardian relatively late, namely with the 1998 album »Nightfall in Middle-Earth«. For him there is hardly anything more beautiful than live music, which he has been missing a lot in recent years.

Of course we had done that a long time ago, after all there is even a song inspired by The Witcher on the album with Blood of the Elves. And The Witcher is also quite okay in the GameStar community. Did we hear.

So we sent back an article link and, in addition, totally unselfishly pointed out that we would be celebrating our birthday soon. In response, we actually got this wonderful video back, which was even one of the most watched clips on GameStar.de during the anniversary week:

At least now it was clear: A few nerds had looked for and found each other here. First, Frederik, Marcus and André from Blind Guardian visited our Maurice for a round of Diablo 3 together. Later they honored us with a detailed talk in the GameStar podcast.

If you then also know that Blind Guardian already had a guest appearance in Sacred 2 and wrote a song specifically for the role-playing game The Dwarves, then suddenly it doesn’t seem so silly that they asked us of all people if we couldn’t be up for their next one present tour. We had.

What do you get out of this?

Well, for one really great and intense live experience, precisely because Blind Guardian will play in smaller halls again on this tour. In any case, we can say from our own experience that we had a lot of fun ourselves and can recommend it to you with a clear conscience, if you have a heart for Power Metal, of course.

On the other hand, there will always be joint campaigns in the coming months, where you can win tickets or signed albums, among other things. The guys have also already signaled that they will definitely appear again on our podcast or stream when the opportunity arises. And who knows, maybe there will even be a meet and greet – we’ll do our best to make it possible for you.

In diesem Sinne: »Now you all know the bards and their song«
