Nier Automata, the action role-playing game published by Square Enix, has sold over seven million copies worldwide.
At the Automata Fan Festival currently being held in Tokyo, Square Enix published the official sales figures for the two action role-playing games Nier Automata and Nier Replicant. However, there was no announcement of a new Nier offshoot that fans had hoped for.
Released in 2017 for Playstation 4 and PC and a year later as The Become as Gods Edition for Xbox One, Nier Automata, which made its Nintendo Switch debut in October, has now clocked up seven million shipments and digital sales worldwide.
Nier Replicant, the 2021 remake of 2010’s NIER, has racked up 1.5 million shipments and digital sales in a year and a half.
