With the recent release of the battle royale, Call of Duty Warzone 2.0, some changes were more noticeable in games than others. Beyond a few movement and weapon meta changes, armor plate gameplay has been tweaked to reward more active players.
Previously we already had the plates that we could use by default, i.e. the maximum capacity of three plates was the default for all players. Now in Warzone 2.0 we have a very different system because when you start the game you start with two slots for two plates. To increase the capacity, we need to search the loot boxes to increase our capacity. This system has the effect of rewarding those who move to various places, even if it is easy to find these equipment, finding them early is a very good strategy.
How the Warzone 2.0 plate system works
The first thing we have to know are the armor bags, with these we will be able to have space to use three plates, which we can carry in a maximum of 3, but with a backpack this will be whatever our capacity indicates. Now each bag is colored to indicate the board’s durability. While that’s not necessarily a huge advantage, in these fast-paced games it’s the little things that matter.
Second, if you shoot an enemy and they scatter colors with a small purple trail, that means they have one of the most durable plates, so they will be harder to kill. With this, the complexity of the games increases, because at the end of the games, whoever collects the most and the best coatings will have the advantage.
That’s not all, because now also the filling of the plate is more efficient. Before, when a plate was half full, it took a full one to fill it. Plates will now be able to fill one and a half slots, filling the limit of up to 3 plates in your inventory.
Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 is receiving a lot of criticism for its current state, both servers and optimization have come under criticism over these weeks. If you tried to play and the lag did not allow you, it is not your fault, these are internal problems of the game which have not yet been fixed. Meanwhile they are adding packs with the new operators of Neymar and Pogba which can be very interesting, of course, while waiting for Messi in the game.
