While the World of Warcraft expansion Shadowlands is now coming to an end and Dragonflight is in the starting blocks, we want to take stock again and ask you about your most loved WoW addon of all time.
We last asked you this question in 2020, at the beginning of Shadowlands. Back then, the winner was relatively clearly in favor of Wrath of the Lich King, followed by The Burning Crusade and Shadowlands in third place. With the colleagues from MeinMMO landete Legion vor the Burning Crusade.
A lot has changed in WoW since this poll. For example, there was always dissatisfaction with the story of Shadowlands. In addition, since September 2022 you can play Wrath of the Lich King again on the WoW Classic servers and experience what you think is the best addon again.
Has your opinion of WotLK changed since the release of the Classic version? Or did it confirm that Battle with the Lich King is still the best addon? We want to get to the bottom of this question with the following survey:
Also, let us know in the comments why you voted for this particular expansion, and what you want Dragonflight to learn from your favorite expansion. As always, we look forward to your lively participation.
Fascination Fantasy – More than dragons! Yes, the fire breathers are cool, but fantasy can be so much more. In the week from November 22 to 29, 2022, GameStar is about what is perhaps the most popular game genre of all. Every day we publish articles and videos all about our love of fantasy. So perfect if you’re looking to get in the appropriately fantastic mood ahead of the release of WoW Dragonflight – or if you simply share our passion for sorcery, magical creatures, and alien worlds. Enjoy browsing!
Would you like to give us feedback on the theme week? Then please fill it up this survey out!
What to expect in the next expansion
Speaking of the upcoming expansion. Of course, it is also packed with a lot of innovations. As the name already tells you, your journey in Dragonflight goes to the long-lost Dragon Islands and the Dragon Aspects, which you have already met in the course of WoW history.
Along with the new area there is also a new race and even a new class. Created long ago by the black dragon aspect Neltharion, the Dracthyr can cast magic that either deals decent damage or heals as the summoner, the Dracthyr-exclusive class.
But there is also flying lizard action in the form of dragon riding for those of you who don’t want to play the new dragon people. Instead of your usual flying mounts, you explore the islands on the back of a dragon, which expands as the story progresses. Incidentally, the previous profession system and the talent trees, which will return to the game with the new addon, will also be expanded.
Despite all these innovations, which sound exciting at first, WoW has to prove that it has learned from the mistakes of Shadowlands and does not fall into old traps again, so that it can eventually take one of the higher places in this survey.
