When Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0’s new DMZ mode was announced, many fans thought it would be fun. Portrayed as Call of Duty’s take on Escape from Tarkov, a high-pressure squad-based experience in which players compete against each other for loot, many players have left the mode unimpressed.
However, a recent exploit could lure players back to the DMZ. First reported by GameRant, a player has discovered a basic glitch that can be replicated and can land them hundreds of thousands of cash in seconds.
After discovering the Warzone 2.0 vulnerability, Twitter user Jagodit A clip of the discovery was shared, which you can watch below. In the clip, we see players looking at weapons and piles of cash on the ground in front of them.
There is a bug in the DMZ that will give you max cash when trying to deposit money if the money is near the floor weapon. Max ended up with $1.3 million.
Not sure if this applies to BR. Additionally, up to 2 tier weapons can be used per match. pic.twitter.com/8uajNKI0xU

They will then move slightly to the right of the cash until the resource’s tooltip is displayed on the screen. This is all done while the player is looking at their gun. When the player presses the interact button to pick up the cash, they pick up the weapon, and that’s where the magic happens.
At that moment, the game glitched and JGODYT managed to walk away with a dropped weapon and a whopping $1.3 million in cash. What’s more, near the end of the clip, we see that both players in JGODYT’s squad were awarded a hefty amount of cash, even though the other player wasn’t involved in the exploit.
It’s not entirely clear why this glitch occurs. In response to JGODYT’s tweet, some players shared that the glitch works in battle royale mode as well as in other resources like ammo.
If this is the case, there is no doubt that we think this is a glitch that will be fixed soon. Even if it only appears in DMZ mode, there’s little chance a player makes that much money in seconds and goes unnoticed. That said, the developers haven’t made an update yet.
