We continue to receive clues about the components that Apple is studying for its iPhone 15. If a few days ago there was talk of a series of haptic buttons supposed to replace the physical side buttons of the phone, now traces of the sensors that your cameras will carry.
Said sensors, reports Nikkei, would be manufactured by Sony and would be “state of the art” in technology. They would be able to double the saturation of the signal in each pixel, making it possible to improve the quality of portraits even if there is too much or not enough light.
More sensors means more quality in every camera
This advance in sensors is possible thanks to the fact that Sony was able to add more diodes in each layer in addition to the transistors necessary for image processing, as evidenced by 9to5Mac. Combined with rumors of the advent of periscope cameras, we could be in for one of the biggest leaps in image quality and camera capabilities between a generation of the iPhone and its successor.
In other w ords, we could take photos that are not oversaturated in environments that are too bright or that are not too dark in rooms where there is practically no light. The iPhone 14 Pro has already improved in this regard, but with these new sensors the jump would be even more pronounced.
All this will surely be reserved for the iPhone 15 Pro, which are usually the models that retain all the camera improvements while the standard models take advantage of the improvements of the previous generations to move forward. Or who knows, maybe it’s something reserved for the rumored iPhone 15 Ultra to make it more exclusive.
