Disney has officially revealed what the Luminous project is, but it looks like we don't have any games.
Earlier this year, the Star Wars blog reported that Disney's next phase was code-named Project Luminous, Star wars, This will be a cross-media campaign with stories overlapping and interrelated, hundreds of years old from the Skywalker Saga.
A key detail of the original vulnerability is that the program will start with video games, so why we introduced it first. Today, Disney revealed the official name of Luminous-Star Wars: Advanced Republic.
Although many details (such as the name) have been leaked accurately, Disney's official release unfortunately makes no mention of video games. Instead, this "storytelling project" focuses on comics and novels, and tells a big story through the work of different authors. Disney also confirmed that this particular period will not overlap with any film or series in production.
This filled the initial rumors with some loopholes, but it was also disappointing that EA canceled another original Star Wars game and rumors were brewing about the "Old Republic Knights" restructuring / restarting.
It may not be wise to assume that participating in video games from the beginning. Disney's press release makes it very clear that this is a comic-only business, but if it catches people's attention, the future may be even wider.
