With a success as colossal as Elden Ring, some might lose their footing. And besides, why such an achievement for a game that’s billed as challenging? Director Hidetaka Miyazaki doesn’t know that and doesn’t want to dwell on it either. He prefers to keep going and not let anything distract him.
I get distraught when people ask me why Elden Ring was so successful. But I feel like I have no plans to change the way I do things in the future. I try not to think about it too much because it might distract me when designing my next project. Nevertheless, I am very grateful and feel honored.
