I can’t believe this is Minecraft!

Hand on heart: The original version of Minecraft is objectively not necessarily beautiful. The block style is by no means ugly, but a graphic wonder also looks different. Maybe that’s the reason why this game in particular is so popular with graphic mods. Such a rectangular game world just can’t look impressive, can it?

Well, if you haven’t been convinced by other mods yet, you’ll be amazed by the following video at the latest. If your PC allows it, it is best to switch to an 8k resolution in order to admire every last pixel.

The snow looks so fluffy as if the character is walking on clouds (6:20). The underwater world looks so inviting, it makes you want to go back to Subnautica (0:10). The smoke is also impressive (05:30) and wading through the chunks of the destroyed blocks (02:05) is fun just watching.

Only the fire leaves something to be desired (02:27) and the water animation is probably a matter of taste (01:20). The big drops look a bit slimy and remind you of the gel from Portal 2.

Which mods are used here?

If you also want Minecraft to look this good, then you need the following mods:

• Texture Pack: The modder Patrix is ​​responsible for all the textures. On his Patreon-Account you can support him, but scrolling down a little you will also find the free version 1.19 from August 2022.
• Shader: In order for the shadows to sit correctly and bring in a good portion of atmosphere, you can find the Complementary Shaders Mod by EminGTR here. You can free download.
• Physics: So that the blocks also fall apart nicely and every chunk falls where it should, you ultimately need the physics mod. You can find everything you need on Minecraft Physics Mod. the Lite versions are free, but you forego the snow, smoke, and water physics. For the Pro version you need the modder Haubna on Patreon support. Then, in addition to the things mentioned above, clothes and tendrils also bend to the laws of physics.

With the mods in your luggage, nothing stands in the way of your game looking the same – at most your PC performance could thwart your plans, after all, the video above was recorded with an RTX 4090.
