Hideo Kojima seems to have been teasing his next game, whatever it is, showing off some logos this time… well, they look good, I guess!
At this point, I think we’ve all come to an agreement with Kojima. He’s a bit of a showman, and he likes to do things in ways most people wouldn’t, like pretend his ultimately canceled Silent Hill game was made by an indie developer. This time around, for his next untitled game, he released some teasers, like revealing that Elle Fanning will be in it. His latest tease for his next game? logo! Pretty logo, though.
“Starting a new journey,” Kojima wrote on his English-language Twitter account, accompanied by a logo for the Automated Public Assistance Company (the most generic but still believable name for a fictional company I’ve ever seen), There’s another sign that we’ve seen in previous trailers, and it could be a door, and there’s a third sign that’s kind of like an octopus.
Interestingly, Geoff Keighley (Kojima fans) responded In the Death Stranding director’s tweet, there’s a gif of a walrus in a pose that suggests it’s thinking, with the text “Hmm, very interesting.” Considering Keighley is often allied with Kojima over the tiniest of things, it won’t be a shock at all to reveal it at next week’s The Game Awards.
The big question is what exactly is this game. Some fans think it’s a Death Stranding sequel, and as the game’s star, Noma Reedus, said earlier this year, it’s definitely happening. However, it could also be Overdose, another game Kojima is developing, which is said to be a horror game starring Margaret Qualley, who played the mother in Death Stranding. The horror game’s gameplay leaked last month, but it’s unclear where it’s at in development.
