Due to its rebirth, Cyberpunk 2077 will soon return in an ultimate version. CD Projekt RED’s CEO confirmed the news and gave a hint about the price.
After the rise of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt RED feels wings growing. The release of the next-gen version of the game in its disastrous launch in conjunction with the airing of the Edgerunners series on Netflix gave it an unexpected return from the dead. The Polish studio has big plans for the license and while waiting for its sequel, the first installment will come back with a new version next year.
A GOTY version of Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077’s disastrous launch is definitely behind it. Now being dubbed by players, CD Projekt RED’s latest additi on is preparing to welcome a single paid DLC. The Phantom Liberty expansion will certainly require digging back into the wallet, but the Polish studio has already thought of everything for those who haven’t fallen for the base game yet. As reported by the website Stockwatch.pl
It’s the natural order of things and that was already the case with The Witcher 3, which was released with a Game of The Year edition after receiving two expansions. It has stayed on the market ever since. In the case of Cyberpunk 2077, we can expect the same.
Without real surprise, Kicinski clarified during the same interview that this Cyberpunk 2077 GOTY will be available at the same time or shortly after the release of the Phantom Liberty DLC and a major update. All are planned for the current year 2023. This ultimate version of the game is still being offered at “full price” on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series, said to be around $70. For the record, the expansion will immerse players in the heart of the New United States of America, a new district that will also be accompanied by a new cast of characters.
