A few hours ago, Martin Bourboulon, who we know for Papa or Maman and its sequel, or even for Eiffel, returned to the front edge of the stage to present his next project to the world: The Three Musketeers. If this isn’t the first time the novel The Three Musketeers has laid claim to being made into a film, quite the contrary, it’s unprecedented that one of them has emerged with such over-the-top ambition.

This new project, presented as a French blockbuster and designed to compete with the world of Hollywood with a budget of over 70 million dollars, will be divided into two parts. As you can see from the trailer available above, a first installment will hit theaters on April 5, 2023. This Part I entitled D’Artagnan will offer us to take part in the debut of the young hero who will befriend the Three Musketeers. The second part, titled “Milady,” will be released on December 13 and will follow the journey of the young woman, played by Eva Green, in more detail.

Apparently, whether part one or two, it all takes place in 1627, when France is being divided by the Wars of Religion and threatened with invasion by England.

A five-star cast for the program and a first poster

Giving the role of the French blockbuster as it should be, the two-part project The Three Musketeers has a five-star cast. In addition to“Eva Green So whoever embodies Milady, we can count on his presence Francois Civil who plays D’Artagnan on screen. The Musketeers are embodied by Vincent Kassel (Athus), Romain Duris (Aramis) and Pio Marmai (Porthos), exactly that.

Also note that we can count on other stars of French cinema such as Louis Garrell who plays Louis XIII or Lyna Khoudri. The actress we saw in The Party is Over, Extraordinary or even Gagarin has the role of Constance Bonacieux.

If the two films find their audience, the director has already expressed the desire to make a third film The Three Musketeers and even series for the small screen.
