Elden Ring is getting a free DLC that already on December 7, 2022 appears. It’s a multiplayer update that opens up coliseum arenas in the game world where players are allowed to battle each other.
If you own Elden Ring, you can simply download the update and start right away. The Coliseum Arenas await in Limgrave, Leyndell and Caelid with multiple PvP modes to put your skills to the test.

Elden Ring: Free Coliseum DLC in the trailer – PvP is the focus here!
What exactly will the Colosseum update be?
Solid information is still scarce, but the YouTube description already reveals a few details about the free DLC for Elden Ring. So far three PvP modes have been mentioned:
- Duels: Duels between two players.
- Free for Alls: Probably some kind of deathmatch where everyone fights against everyone else.
- Team Fights: Probably some kind of team deathmatch in which two groups of players compete against each other.
Developer From Software’s formulation leaves room for more modes. So far, however, they are not known. But it won’t be long before players can try the Colosseum update for themselves.
And maybe the PvP announcement was just part of the news in the pipeline for Elden Ring.

It remains unclear whether he already knows more about another planned addon for Elden Ring, but his comment at least makes Elden Ring fans sit up and take notice.
