Password managers have multiplied in recent months. There are many managers available such as iCloud Keychain or the famous 1Password. In fact, we were talking about it a few days ago to tell you that Apple Passkeys were going to be introduced throughout 2023, these keys that were going to change the way you log in to websites and that Apple presented at WWDC22 . 1Password is back in the news after announcing that it will allow service logins to be saved using accounts. That is, they will store with which accounts (Google, Apple, Github, etc.) we access the different services to guarantee access to the services.
1Password will remember logins with third-party accounts
It is clear that the use of password managers like 1Password, it has many advantages. Among them, greater security because we store our keys in the same place. We also have greater ease of use because from a single place we can manage connections. On the other hand, key portability is as simple as logging into the password manager on each of the devices. And finally, it also highlights organization and privacy.

1Password decided to go even further. And he presented a new function that adds to the dozens already available. It is the possibility of log logins using third-party accounts such as Apple, Google, Github, Facebook, Twitter or Okta. That is, when logging in or creating an account on a website, we may do so through our email or using a third-party account such as Microsoft or Apple that “links” the registration allowing us to register with this connection.
And that’s exactly what 1Password will manage and store with its new feature. Even though we work with multiple Google accounts, for example, we can select the account with which we want to log in. This was confirmed by 1Password through an example video where we can see the process in macOS, but promised that logins can be changed directly from iOS and iPadOS.
