Copy: Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty shows up again in the Game Awards trailer
2023 will be a big year for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will be the first and only major story DLC, an addon with a completely new story, new locations and lots of scenes in which Keanu Reeves uses swear words. But so far it remains a mystery what Phantom Liberty is supposed to be about.
The latest gameplay trailer unveiled by CD Projekt Red as part of the Game Awards 2022 sheds at least a bit of neon light – and reveals another guest star alongside Keanu Johnny Silverhand
Reeves: den Hollywood actor Idris Elba!
Fans know him from the legendary good The Wire or the British crime series Luther, with a bit of bad luck also from the third Star Trek film by JJ Abrams or Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw. Idris Elba plays the ominous (N)USA agent Solomon Reed in Phantom Liberty and works with V to unravel the mystery of the DLC story.
This also underlines the previous bits of information that V in Phantom Liberty is working closely with the new US government. We also see armored car chases, gunfights with souped-up cyberpunks and so on and so on in the trailer.
Phantom Liberty plays by the way while the plot of the main game, so it’s neither a prequel nor a sequel. You can find all further information about the addon in our overview of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.
When is Phantom Liberty coming out?
