Like every weekend, there are some free games on Steam and Epic that we would like to recommend to you. On Steam, all promotions only last until Monday, so hurry up. At Epic you have until Thursday.

Chivalry 2 – We haven’t played such epic medieval battles in ages

The previously Epic-exclusive Chivalry 2 is free to play on Steam over the weekend. That’s a good thing, because the big Winter Season has just started in the game – complete with Battle Pass, new map and enough incentive to plunge into the wild multiplayer sword fights again and again. There is a lot more to Chivalry 2 than just swords.
With axes, lances, bows, pikes, spears and just about every conceivable heavy-hitting weapon, you will face off against dozens of human opponents in huge medieval battles. The multiplayer is clearly the main focus of the game, alternatively you can have fun with a few bots at the weekend. Like its predecessor, Chivalry 2 focuses on intense duels in which the direction of hitting, blocking speed and lunges are the difference between life and death.

Steam: More free trial games
The following games are also completely free to play on Steam over the weekend:
- Crossfire: Legion: The real-time strategy game with a sci-fi touch just celebrated its full release on December 8th. That’s why you can try it out for free over the weekend.
- theHunter: Call of the Wild: This hunting simulation is a few years old, but it is one of the best representatives of its genre. The game is also reduced by 80 percent to just 4 dollars.
Steam & Epic: These games are given away permanently
And like every week there are also some games that you can keep forever – so they are completely free. There are two candidates in the Epic Store and one on Steam.

- Capcom Arcade Stadium: Final Fight: Probably nobody knows anymore, but Capcom is giving away an absolute spanking classic. The arcade version is drastically superior to the super nintendo version.
Free on Epic
- Wildcat Gun Machine is a bullet hell shooter in which you explore a dungeon from above and shoot down hordes of monsters. As befits the genre.
- Saints Row 4: Re-Elected: The iconic open-world chaos with all 25 DLCs is also given away permanently.
