In a promotional video for Genshin Impact issued during the presentation of The Game Awards 2022 we could see Yaoyao, one of the new characters that will join the game during version 3.4 along with the already known Alhacén. Although we already knew her thanks to leaks, it is our first official look at her character.
Upgrading to version 3.4 of Genshin Impact with Alhacén and Yaoyao still does not have an official date. It should be arriving around Wednesday, January 18, 2023, but there are those who believe that it could arrive a week earlier, on Wednesday the 11th.
Now yes, let’s talk about the new characters.
Alhacén ‧ The Severe Instructor
This is a character that players who have already gone through the Sumeru Archon quest are familiar with. Alhacen is a scribe for the Akademiya’s Haravatat and became an immediate favorite with the community, who couldn’t wait for him to be added as a playable character.

Yaoyao ‧ The Graceful Flower
This adorable girl from Liyue used to be Xiangling’s partner when they studied cooking, but now she is a disciple and attendant of Ganyu, the Wandering Walker.

In version 3.4 of Genshin Impact we will finally have new Dendro characters to replace Tignari and Collei, in case you don’t like them.
