The 2022 edition of The Game Awards combines well-loved classic games with massively released DLC, as well as full-fledged sequels to AAA blockbusters, and it certainly did well in the trailers.

Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania DLC
With the release of the excellent Dead Cells’ Return to Castlevania DLC, the Metroid genre is in full swing. It will be released in the first quarter of 2023.
Mobile Vampire Survivor
Keeping with the vampire theme, Vampire Survivor is one of the Sleepers of 2022 and made a cheeky nod to the infamous Diablo Immortal reveal at Blizzcon by announcing that it’s now available on mobile.
Braveheart: Homecoming
Launched in 2014 to critical acclaim, Valiant Hearts, a new “coming soon” mobile device.

Like most previous PlayStation exclusives, the dark and spooky roguelike shooter Returnal is taking the leap.
Hellboy: Web of the Wyrd
Hellboy: Web of Wyrd seems to be a comically accurate rendition of this classic character. It’s coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series X/S, as well as Nintendo Switch, but no release timeline has been given.
Horizon VR Mountain Call
In the first announcement of the night, adjacent to Aloy, Horizon Call of the Mountain was revealed as a PlayStation VR2 game, launching on February 22, 2023.

In the mode of classic Resident Evil games – and there’s even a tape recorder to save your progress – Post Trauma looks to have a spooky atmosphere and puzzles in spades. No release window was given.

The mind-bending picture puzzler Viewfinder follows with a unique visual style. It’s coming to PS5, but there’s no release window.
atomic heart
DOOM- and Bioshock-inspired FPS Atomic Heart also has a release date, along with a frenetic trailer. It will arrive on February 21, 2023.

Sci-fi/horror shooter Scars Above is coming to PS4, PS5, PC and Xbox Series S/X on February 28, 2023.
Relic Hunter Legend
Relic Hunters Legend is a cartoon shooter from Gearbox that seems to take Borderlands’ endless loot mechanic and put it into a whole new arcade 2D realm.
Among Us: Hide and Seek
Among Us’ new game mode, Hide N Seek, launches today, December 9, 2022.

From the Private Division publishing label owned by Take-Two Interactive, After Us will be available on PS5, Xbox Series S/X and PC via Steam in Spring 2023.

Hades 2
After the success of the beat-em-up roguelike Hades, Supergiant Games’ next project is the sequel Hades 2. It doesn’t have a release window yet, but early access is expected in 2023.
Judas
Bioshock creator Ken Levine’s new game Judas is coming to PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. No release window was given.
Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demons
The adorable Bayonetta prequel with storybook art comes to Nintendo Switch on March 17, 2023.
Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord
The second VR game of the night, Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord, is coming to Meta Quest in 2023.
Destiny 2: Light
Destiny 2’s latest expansion, Lightfall, has a gorgeous new trailer with a release date of February 28, 2023.
The Expendables: Kill the Justice League
Paying homage to the longtime voice of Batman Kevin Conroy who tragically passed away recently, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League gets a new trailer confirming his role in the game.

Party Animals is coming to Steam and Xbox in early 2023.
The Last of Us Part 1 PC Version
A remake of The Last of Us Part 1 is already scheduled for release on PC, but has a confirmed date of March 3, 2023.

The sequel to the hugely popular Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the next game, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, will hit theaters on March 17, 2023.

Dune Awakening
Based on Frank Herbert’s legendary series and borrowing key aesthetics from the new film, Dune Wake is an “open world survival MMO”. It doesn’t have a release window yet, though.

After a long delay, Forspoken got a brief new trailer announcing a free demo that’s now playable.
Genshin Shock
In a flashy trailer, Genshin Impact wanted to show off some of its new characters and locations.
death stranding 2
It’s been rumored for a long time, but Kojima Studios’ next game is a direct sequel: Death Stranding 2. There’s no release date yet, but it’s been confirmed that Norman Reedus, Leah Seydoux, and Troy Baker will return to PS5.
Immortal Avim
Poseidon Immortal, with the EA Originals label, looks like a big-budget, magic-filled action game coming out in 2023.
Tekken 8
Not to be outdone by its main fighting counterpart, Tekken 8 has released a huge new trailer, confirming it’s available for PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC, but with no release date.
nightingale
Nightingale is a mix of frightening magic and fairytale creatures, and seems to be heavily crafted and explored. It’s coming to PC via Steam and the Epic Games store, but there’s no release window.
Baldur’s Gate 3
After a long period of early access, Baldur’s Gate 3 will be fully released in August 2023.

The fantasy third-person looter Wayfinder will be available for testing on Steam, PS4, and PS5 next week.
Fire Emblem Engagement
The next Fire Emblem, Fire Emblem Engage got a new trailer for its paid Expansion Pass DLC. The first wave will launch with the game on January 20, 2023, with the other three also dropping throughout 2023.
Diablo 4
The next complete work in the ARPG series, Diablo 4, will finally be released on June 6, 2023.
Horizon Forbidden West: The Burning Shore
Following the game’s release in early 2022, Horizon Forbidden West’s main story DLC, Burning Shores, will release on April 19, 2023.

Remnant 2

Transformers reactivated
The studio that made Gears Tactics is about to release a new Transformers game. Let’s hope it’s better than the moody piano Bon Jovi cover in the trailer.

Company of Heroes 3 is confirmed for PS5 and Xbox Series S/X, with a release date of 2023.

Outcast: Ghosts of New Eden
From one of the most versatile studios responsible for Life is Strange and Vampire, DontNod – Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden looks like a third-person fantasy action game.

Also from Focus Interactive, a new Warhammer 40K shooter – highlighting the look of the model – SpaceMarine, is coming to PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC in 2023.

Warhammer sports game Blood Bowl is getting another version. Blood Bowl 3 is coming on February 23, 2023.

Crash Team Rumble and Crash Bandicoot
You’ve seen Crash Team Racing, but what about Crash Team Rumble? It’s scheduled for release in 2023 for PS4, PS5 and Xbox One, as well as Xbox Series S/X.

Surprisingly, the only game of the night to feature Vanilla Ice, Crime Boss: Rockay City included a ton of Hollywood names – and Chuck Norris.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Freedom DLC
A new trailer for the new Cyberpunk 2077 DLC features Idris Elba, set for release in 2023.
Armored Core 6: Rubicon Fire
FromSoftware’s next game is Armored Core 6, due out in 2023. Not only is it a mech game, but it’s apparently also a cross-generational title, slated for release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and PC.

The penultimate trailer of the night came from Koei Tecmo and EA, showing fantasy action game Wild Hearts.
