The Fortnite Ageless Champion is a new addition to Chapter 4 Season 1.
This is also known as Geno – Fornite’s longtime antagonist, or at least, a version de Geno – which is part of the latest Battle Pass.
As well as being an unlockable skin, the Ageless Champion roams the map – and is subject to a quest where you must help defeat the ageless champion.
This page explains where to find and beat the ageless champion in fortnite when the time comes.
On this page:
Fortnite Ageless Champion Location
The Ageless Champion can be found at the Citadel, the named location northwest of the map.
In the Citadel, the Ageless Champion can be found wandering around the castle.
In our experience, it appears in one of three places; the throne room (on the ground floor, at the back), on the roof, or the upper room starting from the roof.
You’ll know when the Ageless is nearby because the music turns up as you approach – useful to know that this powerful adversary is around the corner.
He has a tendency to run away though and make him hard to spot – but just listen to the music and run through each area to find him.
Ageless Champion Cheese: How to easily beat the Ageless Champion
Before we jump into a “normal” Ageless Champion fight, there’s a method to beating the Ageless Champion very easily – and that involves our old friend, the Storm.
The ageless champion, like the players on the map, will be damaged by the stormso if you can play a match where the Citadel will be consumed and you can survive long enough for its health to be reduced, then you can finish it off quickly and easily.
You can even just damage the Ageless Champion once and let the storm do the work for you if you prefer – although we understand if you want to stick around to make sure the job is done right.
The main downside to this is the difficulty of continuing the match afterwards, especially if you want to use his loot. That said, the Shockwave Hammer is a quick way to traverse the map and return safely.
But, if you are only looking for the requirement of the challenge, this is an easy way to defeat the ageless champion.
Do you want to shoot it down properly? So here’s what you need to know.
How to Beat the Ageless Champion
Like Darth Vader, the Ageless Champion is a difficult character to fight and defeat.
First, make sure you’re well equipped for the fight. We actually recommend landing at the Citadel, partly to give you plenty of time to complete the battle, but also because it’s actually a great spot for loot thanks to the common Oathbound chest spawns – which means you can arm yourself and get ready faster than the most named. Locations.
You’ll want something to fight with in mid-range, as well as shields and healing items along the way.
If possible, it’s also recommended to wait for a few helpful boosts – although we’d go for balloons, as in our experience it will shoot you out of the sky quickly!
The Ageless Champion wields two of the season’s newest weapons, the Ex-Caliber Rifle and the Shockwave Hammer, which will be used at medium and close range respectively.
Since the Ex-Caliber Rifle is an explosive projectile that takes a few moments to detonate, it’s the more predictable of the two. It is therefore recommended to stay at a distance, use the walls as cover and reduce the health of the ageless champion.
The throne room is harder to do, as the hallways can see you at the mercy of the Ex-Calibur’s explosives.
The roof, meanwhile, has more room around the circle, and the corners double as cover – so fighting it there will give you an advantage.
If you can, take over. This way his projectiles will fly above you or destroy the ground below, and if you can handle it properly, take out the stairs so you can rain bullets down from above with little risk.
Either way, provided the circle doesn’t go in, be sure to take your time and keep your distance, making sure you better avoid projectiles and see when the champion is advancing.
Upon victory, you’ll receive 2,000 XP – and if you want loot, there’s the Ageless Champion’s Ex-Caliber Rifle as a bonus reward.
If you’re struggling for the challenge, as well as the cheese above, remember that you only have to to help in a loss – so partying with other players, even random ones (try suggesting landing at the Citadel with a marker to encourage others to join you) might be a good bet.
