As early as June 2022, a statement by FromSoftware studio boss Hidetaka Miyazaki made the rounds: The developer’s next game has been in development for some time and is about to be completed. At the time, many suspected – including us – that the unannounced title could be a new Armored Core.
Apparently these assumptions were correct, because Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon was announced with a trailer at the Game Awards. However, there is no exact release date yet, the game should appear in 2023.
Mechs instead of monsters

Armored Core 6: Mechwarrior faces competition from a genre veteran
The trailer gives a first impression of what we can expect: gigantic, heavily armored and armed war machines, huge battles and big explosions. However, there was no gameplay to admire yet.
This leaves many questions unanswered, such as how the new Armored Core will play at all. Can we expect a shooter with a focus on cinematic action? Or does FromSoftware want to apply its Souls principles to the mech game?
Armored Core’s long history might also provide a clue. The first game in the series got into players’ hands back in 1997, while the most recent installment dates back to 2012. The action games mostly focused on multiplayer and offered a lot of customization options for mechs.
So at the moment it’s still pretty open in which direction the Armored Core 6 mechs will stomp.

for the action role-playing game and above all brought new PvP content. You can find out more about this in the article:
