EA exited this year's GDC.

EA has advised its employees not to travel to San Francisco GDC 2020 In March, you will not participate in any official capacity.

They both apologized for missing this year's game.

Since then, EA confirmed the decision in a statement to Gamespot, citing concerns over recently discovered cases of coronavirus.

It wrote: "After paying close attention to the global situation of coronavirus and the recent escalation of cases in new regions, we decided to take other measures to protect the health of employees, including limiting all unnecessary travel.

"As a result, we have also cancelled our formal participation in GDC and restricted our participation to other activities. We will continue to monitor the situation and will adjust the guidelines for our employees when we consider it appropriate."

Game investment fund "Night of Kowloon" also revealed that it did not participate in this year's show In a tweet.

Today's news comes before other major news releases, including Sony, Oculus, and most recently Kojima.

This was particularly disappointing during the year of the console release, when developers tended to meet and share new technologies using these new platforms. GDC 2020 will continue to be held from March 16th to 20th as planned.
