The most important week for DC Extended Universe has just begun: The meetings between the current directors of the superhero franchise, James Gunn y Peter Safran, with the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, David Zaslav have begun and it is expected that throughout these days we will know the new direction that Superman, Flash and company will take for the next 10 years. Although Gunn already spoke about his priorities through Twitter, there were still some loose ends to be tied up as the future of Batman.
If a few days ago we told you that the director of Guardians of the Galaxy canceled a Batman movie starring Michael Keaton, now Variety informs that Gunn’s intention is to opt for the Robert Pattinson in Batman Directed by Matt Reeves. The movie released this year has garnered a huge number of fans of this new version of the superhero and they would be quite happy if this news is confirmed.
There are many changes that will come to DC in the coming weeks, and although by 2023 the company has already closed the premieres with the first Flash movie, the debut of Blue Beetle and the sequels to Aquaman and Shazam, we still don’t know if any of these superheroes will survive the coming apocalypse in Warner.
These will be very important moments of tension for the franchise, since they want to take into account many factors such as the huge fan base of Snyder, the Superman de Henry Cavillthe budget of many of the films, among many other issues that Gunn and Safran will have to resolve these days.
