The new Dying Light 2 Stay Human DLC takes us to the sands of death.
the people of Techland brings us new DLC in the form of Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Bloody Ties. In this one, players are invited to return to Villedor not to explore the city, but to visit hall of carnagea merciless fight club where players’ strength and agility will be put to the test. It’s DLC brings new experiences in the form of challenges of different levelswhile telling the story of Carnage Hall’s owner, Astrid, and her brutal champion, Skullface.
fight club
The Bloody Bonds DLC begins with our protagonist, Aiden, who must prove his skills to earn an invitation to Carnage Hall as a fighter to investigate further. After being attacked by the new character Cyruswho is determined to reach the top of Carnage Hall and kill the current champion As revenge for killing his brother, he ends up being forced to team up with Ciro to improve his chances.
Ciro and his family will continue to be the main narrative hook of the 4 or 5 hours of downloadable content available, as the story of Ciro’s brother and the rest of the members is revealed. Throughout the story, we will be asked to make relevant decisionsas was already the case in the base game, to protect Ciro, try to keep him away from danger or encourage him in his quest for revenge.
As in the main adventure, the depth of the plot branchesnice conversations with important people (again, SPECTACULAR dubbing in Spanish) and how well developed the small universe of Carnage Hall was, makes the story of this DLC captivate us from start to finish. Although Aiden’s ultimate goal is simply complete challenges until you reach the highest rank and being able to challenge Skullface, each step of the journey offers you new side quests to improve your chances in the final fight, while giving you more context about the world. You can spend more time with Ciro deepening your bond, investigating rumors of a way to ward off zombies, or finding Ciro’s father’s armor, which helped him rise to champion rank.
Welcome to the sands of death
Another point to highlight is the level of depth and interaction that we have with the arena as a quest hub and not just a place to partake in one event after another. What could have been a simple arena becomes so much more when there are so many side missions to perform that are not directly related to the fight itself.
If you want to challenge yourself, you can participate in 16 different events which include completing multi-stage objectives, defeating waves of zombies, racing through parkour challenges, or battling new oversized zombies. You will need to complete quite a few to progress through the story and reach a rank high enough to take on Skullface. Your armor and weapons are swapped for others given to you, so it’s a real test of skill, and not just if you were able to get the best weapon with all the perks. If you complete these matches and rank up, you will also get you will be able to buy new equipment and cosmetics.
Throughout this new downloadable content, parkour challenges are definitely the highlight. The final version even goes so far as to turn the ground into lava, forcing you to run, jump, climb, and jump all over the stage to complete all of the objectives in time. The look of looser bloody ties is unfortunately in the one on one human fight in which you will participate. Much of the fighting Dying Light 2 it’s about circling around while swinging your weapons, so when you have a series of fights where it’s just you against another human that lets you land a hit before he starts blocking you, the fights quickly turn into a replay of blows, get blocked, decoy attack, dodge to the side and attack again.
conclusions
Dying Light 2 stay human bloody ties manages to bring a lot of things that work very well. If you’re a fan returning to the game after the good taste it left you, you’ll find yourself with a series of challenges that will test your skills and a new arsenal of weapons and gear. Although the story takes a while to engage, once you get to Carnage Hall you’ll be struck by the depth of the narrative pathways and how the character of Cyrus He goes from a one-dimensional revenge machine to a fully fleshed out character with plenty of surprises. Although the combat is not entirely fun, overall Bloody Ties offers a fun and fresh experience for Dying Light 2 stay human.
