Despite growing competition, YouTube remains the most popular video platform on the planet, largely because of its features. What if I told you that one of its most used options was not yet available in mobile applications?

I am referring to the video queue, something that has been available on the YouTube site for a long time but, until now, it was not possible to use it in the iOS and Android applications. Fortunately, Google just fixed this, but in a limited way and for a price.
YouTube Video Queue for Android
The YouTube video queue allows us exactly that: add videos one after the other so that they play in the order we want. For example, let’s say we are watching a video and want to see more productions from this creator; we can browse the videos posted by the account while the first one is still playing and add them to the queue. When the video we’re watching is over, the next one we’ve posted will play.
In other words, this function gives us greater control over what we are going to see next. Instead of relying on YouTube’s algorithms and autoplay function, we can easily add videos to the list, just by clicking the three-dot button that appears next to the video title. Whenever we want we can start playing this queue.
For convenience, the queue works like a playlist, but it’s much faster and easier to use because it’s always available while you’re browsing through the app. It is not used to see the videos later, but to see them after the one you are watching.
How to Enable Video Queue on YouTube
This may be why this function was not yet available in the mobile application; after all, it’s easier to use on a computer, since normally we’ll have a video playing in one tab or window while we browse YouTube in another and add more videos. But the Android app has long enabled a similar degree of multitasking, playing video in small while we use the interface, so it makes sense that the queue has now been implemented.
The bad news is that this feature is currently being tested and only YouTube Premium users can use it; therefore, we will have to pay the subscription to be able to access this and other advantages. Moreover, YouTube has already warned that it will only work until January 28; If all goes well, it will probably be made available to everyone in a future update.
