Death Stranding 2 is finally announced, and no one is surprised

announced, Death, finally, Stranding, surprised

You might not be terribly surprised to hear this, but Kojima Studios has finally announced Death Stranding 2, with both Norman Reedus and Lia Seydoux returning.

You won’t be surprised to hear that Hideo Kojima himself edited the trailer, which takes us back to a post-apocalyptic world where the glasses-wearing game takes us back to 2019. While Hideo Kojima didn’t show any gameplay in the trailer he did take to the stage to say that the trailer does have some hints to find.

The trailer also poses the question, “Should we connect?” which definitely makes it look like we’re going to be asked if all the walking and package delivery we did in the first game was worth it. Reedus’ character, Sam Bridges, also seems to be a bit older, with some gray hair, and honestly, no one seems to want to go on another adventure, but in a world like this, who would?

While they don’t appear in the trailer, this is also the game that will feature Elle Fanning and Shioli Kutsuna, so at least the mystery has been solved.

It’s also confirmed to be coming to PS5, but no other platforms yet.
