I am very excited to announce that we will be hosting the Predator: Hunting Ground weekend, which begins March 27, and runs through March 29. The test will be open to PS4 players with PlayStation Plus membership and PC players and Cross-Support support. Just log into the PlayStation Store, download the trial, and start the hunt!
The Test will be available for download on March 27 in Japan at 3pm JST, Europe at 4pm GMT, and in North America at 5pm PST.
We spent the last part of 2019 taking the demo to various gaming events around the world and allowing members of the public to try it out for themselves. Seeing the fun that is available to all like Predator and Fire has been a great reward for the dev team. We've had a great response with that process and we believe everyone will be happy to see where the game is. We look forward to you testing the game as we get closer to getting it started.
The test will allow you to play alone as a Predator, or to interact online with three others as part of Fireteam. Back in December, we explained how cruel and powerful the Predator was. Before the test, here's what you should know about playing with Fireteam in the Predator: Hunting Ground.
Problems Against You
Who doesn't like a challenge? We love that when you play like Fireteam you really capture that feeling of power, of being the best. You have access to state-of-the-art equipment and gear that lets you feel like you can put down an army, and you will. Fireteam players have a job to do and have to deal with multiple AI PLUS foes that another player is hunting for as a Predator.
Get a Real Feeling of Fear
The original Predator movie was shocking and so was the play. You get on the map with war-based missions and fight against AI opponents to achieve important goals, and then when you hear that bad click sound, the threat may come from anywhere. On top of this suspicion, when the Predator attacks, it's scary. Predator turns. It can throw you from above, shoot deadly plasma in the shadows, or knock you close. The hunting excitement has made the original movie fun to watch, and what makes playing on Fireteam so exciting.
Making You Live
Just like in films, you have to reunite with your team, re-evaluate your situation, and decide how you'll get out alive. The game gives you all the tools you need but the tricks and techniques are all up to you.
- Do you escape the Predator or turn the tables and hunt them?
- Do you come together and use your combined fire extinguisher to get rid of it?
- Do you divide and conquer?
- Are you using nature and AI opponents to your advantage?
There are so many options and the choice is yours. Finding out how to survive the root cause of Fireteam is fun.
Finally, we are so excited to be presenting our game art! This clip shows how we feel playing Predator and Fireteam. You feel the urge that the Predator is everywhere and nowhere at the same time while you're hunting for Fireteam.
