A new update is coming for the Front Mission remake

The recently released Front Mission 1st Remake has been thankfully updated to version 1.0.3 today by the Forever Entertainment team. The game wasn’t up to scratch at launch, so hopefully these new additions and fixes should fix that somehow. It’s a little worrying that some of Forever Entertainment’s recent releases are what they are Panzer Dragoon Remake and House of the Dead remake on Switch it needs to be fixed after running the games. Anyway, Front Mission 1st Remake version 1.0.3 is out today on Nintendo Switch.

Accessories

  • “Battle Speed” option.
  • Stat comparison before the fight
  • AI searches for an alternate route when the target station is occupied by an ally (modern mode only)
  • DPAD navigation in the scenario map tile by tile
  • Directly attack enemies by selecting a red square on the scenario map
  • Save the board after completing the campaign (without deleting the autosave)
  • Arena death animation when BODY is destroyed
  • “Thank you” sound after shopping in the store.
  • Minigun animation when firing

Improvements

  • Katakana and hiragana characters are now available when entering names
  • Seamless transition from map to combat.
  • Improved Wanzer jumping animation
  • CHAFF hits consistently, and the defender does not perform the fullback animation.
  • Better music looping
  • The music pauses before the fight and resumes after the fight
  • When attacking “body only” machines, DUEL and GUIDE skills do not appear
  • Changed “open command menu” from Y to B button.
  • Improved workshop ambient sounds
  • The player is now returned to enemy selection after an arena fight
  • Localization setting

Repairs

  • Incorrect placement of MISS and GUARD text in the arena when attacking from afar
  • Bug with GUARD value when equipped with missile launcher
  • USN 10 scenario bug (cannot complete mission if all enemies are killed before the third round)
  • Sorting error in the workshop (wrong item purchased after sorting)
  • Enemies no longer attempt to attack with destroyed weapons
  • Enemies will now attack with only one hand destroyed
  • DOUBLE and SWITCH skills sometimes soften the game
  • Store setup error (holding weapon not added to inventory after purchasing hand with internal weapon)
  • Bug when rockets or bullets pass through the ground
  • When using an ACID item, the shoulder weapon and shield were not affected
  • Bug with incorrect shoulder weapon type in settings after shield placement
  • Other minor bugs
