It’s a similar path to that followed by Netflix, another subscription service often used in comparison. For now, this is all just hypothetical and it looks like Microsoft might be doing some market research right now.
As we can see, adding advertising would only be one of the options considered. There could also be delayed access for Xbox Studios games, up to six months.. While this is all hypothetical, Xbox appears to be looking at ways to expand its user base for the service after Phil Spencer admitted an expected slowdown among console subscribers.
