Tinykin got a big free content update. You can enjoy the exciting adventure in the Xbox Game Pass.
Developer Splashteam and publisher tinyBuild have reason to celebrate. Almost four months have passed since the release of Tinykin, the massive yet small platform adventure.
The developers want to spread some Christmas cheer and have a nice little gift for you for all platforms: the free Challenge Update! It features time attack challenges in every region of the game and rewards Milo with some snazzy new outfits.
“The Challenges Update is our gift to the players who have seen everything in Tinykin but are still hungry for more. After completing a room’s main quest, you’ll find two new Hornet characters. Don’t worry, they don’t sting – they’re much more interested in racing. Challenge them on the tracks they’ve set up in Transidor, Sanctar, Foliana, Balnea, Ambrose, and Celerion (one short and one long track per zone), beat their gold medal times, and celebrate in fashion! Also, there might be a few extra surprises for those who make the extra effort and 100% complete Tinykin.”
For those unfamiliar with the wild world of Tinykin, it’s the story of Milodane (Milo for his friends), an interstellar explorer who has just stumbled across the long-lost planet Earth.
The interface isn’t what he expected; he’s barely an inch tall and trapped in a ’90s house. Thus begins a strange, crazy platforming adventure full of strange new sights and unexpected new friends.
Each room holds surprises, secrets, and sophisticated (and mostly friendly) insect civilizations. Befriend bugs and recruit the Tinykin, mysterious and powerful creatures who come to Milo’s aid fresh from their eggs. Lead them and they will move mountains, or at least some (comparatively) colossal objects. The different races can blast open sealed passages, build ladders to unreachable ledges, and even bridge electrical currents between devices.
The Tinykin are helpful, but not the solution to every problem. To truly explore the house, you must master Milo’s upgradable Bubble Glider and race around the house on a soap bar surfboard. Grinds web rails and table edges like the next Tiny Hawk! With all these possibilities, you will unravel the mystery of this strange world in no time. Just don’t forget the locals – they’re fun to “hang out” with too.
