Steam sales often cut the price of many games on our wishlists in half, prompting us to commit to purchases we weren’t necessarily sure about.
Every year, I use the Steam Winter Sale as an excuse to pick up games that I’ve been eyeing for months but haven’t bought yet. It’s also a great way to buy surprise Christmas gifts for friends and family far away!
Sure enough, most of the games I buy each winter stay in my Steam library for a full year. We’ve all been there, staring at our Steam library, complaining that “there’s nothing to play” while the purchases from the last sale are staring straight at you. it happens. One year is not enough time, too many games to play.
Anyway, let’s get some more. Steam’s winter sale starts tomorrow, December 22, 6pm GMT / 7pm CET, will run for two weeks until January 5, 2023. You can expect discounts on games of all types, some for a fraction of the retail price.
Steam has confirmed some of the games that will be featured in the Steam Winter Sale via recent trailers. They are as follows:
- Fallout 76
- SD Gundam Battle League
- ready or Not
- two o’clock campus
- persona 5 royal
- sonic frontier
- Hell: Blade’s Edge
- raft
- new world
- through the obelisk
- let’s go
- homeless village
- construction simulator
- F1 Manager 2022
Beyond that, you can look forward to hundreds of games in the Steam Winter Sale. Are there specific titles you’d like to see marked down? I’m hoping to spot a new RPG or two on sale to keep me busy during the holidays, and will no doubt use it for Christmas presents I haven’t bought yet…
