Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection received a major update today on Nintendo Switch and many other platforms. The new update brings online multiplayer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time (SNES), a new Nintendo Switch Home Menu icon based on the box art, along with multiple improvements and bug fixes for the o ther included games. New additions
- The home menu icon has been changed to a frame image. (Switch)
- PS4 arcade controller is now supported. Joystick support for PS4 (PS5) is now implemented
- Xbox arcade stick is now supported. Xbox joystick support (XB1/XSX) is now implemented
- When creating an online lobby, the player can now set the size of the lobby for two arcade games. The host can limit it to 2, 3 or 4 players.
- When creating an online lobby, the player can now set the frame delay to “Automatic”. When this is set, the input delay is adjusted according to the number of players.
- New enhancement added to SNES and Super Famicom TMNT: Tournament Fighters. Ultimate-Attacks can now be enabled in Story Mode ON/OFF.
- New enhancement added to Super Famicom TMNT: Tournament Fighters. “Group Mode” can now be toggled on/off. (Available only in Japanese version.)
- New enhancement added Arcade US/JP Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The number of lives per coin can be adjusted from 1-5.
- New improvement added to Arcade US Turtles in Time. The number of lives per coin can be adjusted from 1-8.
- New enhancement added Arcade US/JP Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The weight can be adjusted.
- New improvement added to Arcade US Turtles in Time. The weight can be adjusted.
- New improvement added to Arcade US Turtles in Time. Game Loop can now be turned on/off. While ON, the game will restart from the beginning after the credits.
- A new button action has been added to “Arcade US/JP TMNT”, “Arcade US Turtles in Time”, “SNES/Super Famicom Turtles in Time”, and “Genesis/MegaDrive Hyperstone Heist”. Players can now assign a “Special” button. This button simultaneously presses “Attack” and “Jump” to make it easier to perform special attacks.
- New color enhancement added to all Game Boy games. Added GBC ON/OFF mode. A new “Color Palette” option has been added to the Pause menu for all Game Boy games. In addition to other filters, players can choose from 4 color palettes, 1. Black and White, 2. Game Boy Green, 3. Game Boy Pocket Green, 4. Game Boy Light Blue.
- Adjusted sound for various games and main menu
- Additional pages for NES Tournament Fighters and GEN Tournament Fighters have been added to the strategy guide.
- An additional page for GEN Tournament Fighters and GEN Hyperstone Heist has been added to the strategy guide.
- Visual settings are saved per game.
Problems solved
- The German translation for “Punch repeatedly” for page 11 of the strategy guide has been fixed.
- In the music player, the cassette icon for the arcade TMNT show now displays the correct icon.
- On page 5 of the Strategy Guide (SNES Turtles in Time), the Turtle Type 3 screenshot has been replaced.
- In SNES Turtles in Time the Stage Select enhancements now work even after changing the settings in options.
- In Hyperstone Heist, Stage Select improvements now work when selecting 2 players.
- Improved easy menu navigation for TMNT III Manhattan Project (NES) /TMNT 2 Manhattan Project (Famicom) now works.
- Extra credits improvements for SNES Tournament Fighters now work.
- The SNES Turtles in Time Museum Manual now includes missing pages 18-19.
