PlayStation Plus: 10 extra and premium games fly out in January

Sony regularly expands the range of games on PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, but unfortunately subscribers have to say goodbye to some full versions – similar to Xbox Game Pass. A total of 10 titles will therefore no longer be available during January.

Sony will lose permission to offer some games through the more expensive PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscription tiers later in January. Ten games will therefore leave the range in the new year, although there is at least one point that is clear: there is no real major AAA title.

Nevertheless, if you want to play one of the games listed below without additional costs as part of the PS Plus subscription, you should do so over the upcoming holidays before there is no longer a chance to do so.

The following games are now in the “Last Chance To Play” category and will in most cases leave the service on January 17, 2023:

  • Seasons After Fall
  • Bound by Flame
  • Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom
  • Masters of Anima
  • The Council
  • The Last Tinker: City of Colors
  • Electronic Super Joy
  • Leo’s Fortune
  • Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek
  • Space Hulk: Tactics

A recommended narrative gaming experience is The Council, originally released in episodic format; PS Plus has the full version with puzzle gameplay and murder stories. Fantasy RPG fans may want to check out Bound By Flame, from the makers of Greedfall and Steelrising.

A number of new additions were recently introduced for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, including Far Cry 5 or the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition.
